Tried and true place. Because it's tucked away in the corner off of 256, it may be missed. However, the food, the cozy atmosphere is the place to be to share with someone you meet and/or care about. Can't go wrong with the fish and chips. The staff attentive and personal.
Staff were super friendly, hostess was very nice and was able to get us a table right away. Food was delicious!! Love the beer battered fried pickles. Pricing is good, middle of the road. I'd say the average cost of a meal with water would be around $12. Good selection of adult beverages. Plenty of parking and very easy to get in and out of.
Atmosphere is nice and casual. We've never had to wait for a table here. Our waiter, Jackson, was amicable and played along with our lame jokes. He was also efficient in bringing the things we needed and asked for. I got the BLT which was HUGE... Bacon was very crispy which I like, but I know others don't. Hubs got the portobello sandwich. He really liked it and would get it again. I say the carrot cake for dessert is a must... I usually just get it to-go since I don't have room for it after eating dinner. It is the biggest piece of cake from any restaurant I've seen. Will return.
I love fish n chips. Ate them here. This will be my choice when I want fish. Great breading, BIG PIECES of fish. Soft and moist inside, JUST LOVE IT. Service is always good..
Regular neighborhood bar. Had the Mediterranean chicken wrap. (Who orders a Mediterranean wrap in an American bar, right?) Anyway, the wrap was just okay. The bar did not have a good selection of beer on tap. Just a few options. The place was quiet on a Tue evening with just 2 other groups there besides ours.
